I flew with this airline for the first time last year. The first flight from Sofia to Athens delayed with 1 hour and I was really afraid that I will miss my next flight. But Aegean airlines are really very high quality! The next flight waited for all of the passengers from the first flight and the airplane take off when we all were on board.

They have connection agent in front of any arriving plane (inside the jetbridge) and the agent tells you tha gate of your next flight and helps you if necessary. You could make connection for less than 40min time between the flights if they are Schengen-Schengen or NonShcengen-NonSchengen. You need at least 1h if your flights are NonSchengen-Schengen or vice versa, because you have to exit the zone and do all the checks as passangers from A to B (flying directly) does.
